Shopping in Beijing is a must for foreign visitors. They like to buy chinaware, paintings, antiques(古董) and many other traditional Chinese articles. Our department stores and shopping plazas and usually open from 9 am to 9 pm. The well-known free markets are Hongqiao, Silk Markets and Yashow Markets. Shopping there is enjoyable because there are plenty of things to choose, and meanwhile(同时) you can bargain with the sellers.
For me, I prefer to big supermarkets for shopping. The reason is that you can buy everything in just one place, and there are more choices.
