about to 和 be going to 的区别

be about to 和 be going to 都有未来的含义。
1.

be about to 侧重“即将...，就要...”( = be on the point of ... ing)，

be going to 指“不久的将来”( = near future)。

2.

be about to 是文语，be going to 是口语。

3.

be about to 不能接时间状语，be going to 可以接时间状语。

（错）I am about to go next week.应改为“I am about to go.”

be about to 后不能接具体时间，表”某一时刻正要做某事”；
be going to 可以接具体时间，表“计划做某事”。

例子：I was about to leave when it rained.我正要离开时天下雨了。
