In fact, privatization has not only rescued individual industries and a whole economy headed for disaster, but has also raised the level of performance in every area.
解释:headed for disaster做 a whole economy 的定语.

The revolution soon spread to Western Europe and the United States which, due mainly to the development of her northeastern iron industry, became the world's leading industrial nation by the late 1800s

Western Europe and the United State

In fact, privatization has not only rescued individual industries and a whole economy, which were headed for disaster, but has also raised the level of performance in every area.
On the floor lay the vases and dishes broken by her husband.
此句 broken by her husband同时修饰前面两个名词。
In fact, privatization has not only rescued individual industries and a whole economy, the latter of which was headed for disaster, but has also raised the level of performance in every area.
the latter of which明显代表a whole economy而已。
In fact, privatization has not only rescued individual industries and the whole collapsing economy but has also raised the level of performance in every area.
The revolution soon spread to Western Europe and the United States which, due mainly to the development of their iron industry, became the world's leading industrial centers by the late 1800s.
