the在元音前读[Ti:],在辅音前读[TE]，但我听BBC读EU（欧盟）这个词时读的是[TE] EU，这是为什么？
请看这两句话：
You should know better than to behave like that.（请问than后面不定式前省略的是什么？）
Things can't go as they are.（请问are后面省略了什么？）

EU= European Union, 请查查EUROPEAN的读音，按这个读音来讲前面读[TE]没错。或者是广播员的失误。（这个可能性比较小）
习惯用法，than连接动词不定式，Better than to do sth。
As在这里相当于 like what/like how.....或者可以理解为Things can't go as they are like to be/go. Things can't go like what/how they are.
