so are you表示你的情况也一样，例如：
She is smart, so are you. 她很聪明，你也是。

so you are是A对B关于B自己情况描述表示肯定的话，没有确切含义，只是为了帮助对话进行，就像我们说的“是吗？”“哦，这样啊”，例如：
B:I am too tired now. 我现在太累了。
A:So you are. 看得出来。

注意：如果B说的那句话是I cooked the best dinner ever since yesterday. 昨天我做了有史以来最棒的一顿饭。 那么A的回答应该是 So you did.
同理，如果B说：I was ill last week. 那么A就说：So you were.

so are you表示你也一样，即表示你的情况与前面所说的一一样

so you are表示同意，相当于yes,right

"So are you" and "so am I" are used in special situations.

Such as:

You are the nember one in you class and so am I.

I am a Chinese and so are you.

However, "so you are" and "so I am" are used in general situations.

Such as:

You are nember one of the graduation class so you are recommended to a university with the exemption of the admission exams.

You have been studying so hard for these years so you are the top student in the class now.
