Based on careful study of the historical data of physics, this paper attempts to discuss the influences of physicists' pholisophical ideology on their research orientation, the establishment of their physical theory, and the methods they adopted when they conducted physical research. With attention paid to the pros and cons and the application of facts and reasoning, this paper aims to illustrate the influences of dialectic materialism and metaphysical mentalism on physicists with a view to familiarizing readers with the correlation between physics and philosophy so they will base their scientific research consciously on the ideology of dialectical materialism.
