As it is written in every civil country's constitution, everyone is equal, no matter whether they're healthy or unhealthy, black or white, men or women.

First, I want to say that disabled people are equal to normal people. We should not look down on them. It's not their fault for being disabled; they were created this way or some accidents tool their abilities away. Despite all the inconveniences they face, the} can also achieve success if they are recognized and respected as equal and given equal chances. Helen Keller, a famous American writer, was a person that I've always looked up to. She was born blind, deaf and mute, thus she could not see or hear or learn to speak. She was treated like an animal in a complete darkness and loneliness when she was young, until one day, Miss Ann Sullivan, a teacher from Boston, came to her, loved her with all her heart, taught her and helped her to succeed. And Helen accomplished so many things that even normal people couldn't with the help of Ann. So why don't we all lend a hand to those who are in need of our help, instead of looking down upon them? Remember that we're equal.

Second, black people are equal to white people. There was a sad time in history when blacks were used as animal labor, sepa-rated from their parents or children, traded and shipped in filthy ships to places unknown but dreadful to them. But that was so unfair and wrong! They're really not "black meat "as they were called. They are human beings with feelings and emotions and in-telligence like every one of us and every white person! Look, who is Secretary General of the UN today? Doesn't Mr. Kofi Annan work just as well as or even better than white people? The great black movement leader, Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "I have a dream, that one day, on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to join hands and sit at the table of brotherhood. " It is also my dream that people will no longer be concerned by their petty dif-ferences and stand on equal ground!

Last, I want to say that women are equal to men. If there is anyone who would argue that men are superior to women, please let him answer why there has never been a male scientist in human history to do a better job than Madam Curie who won the Nobel Prize twice? We have to admit that men and women are different and good at different things. But that's it, and that has nothing to do with who is better or who is worse. We should all see this truth.

Today we still need to make more efforts to realize this. Only in this way will we make this world a much much better family for all of us!
