their/theirs 前者是形容词性的物主代词，后者是名词性的物主代词。
eg. These are their books.
These books are theirs.
试一下 = give it a try
their 和 theirs 都是他们的意思
但用their的时候后面要加名词
It is their car
The car is theirs
两个意思都是“车是他们的”
试一下:have a try
their (adj) theirs (n.)
Those books are theirs.
Those are their books.

their 形容词性物主代词 用的时候后面得跟名词
theirs 名词性物主代词 可直接当名词用 后面不加东西
