根据WTO协议中的《纺织品与服装协议》（ATC协议），从2005年1月1日起，全球全部取消纺织品配额。然而，并没有像很多人期待的那样中国纺织业迎来了春天，美欧设限接连不断，争端平息了，教训之外我们又从中学到了什么呢？本文通过分析纺织品争端的原因及其影响，阐述了争端对于中国来说并不完全是一件坏事，尤其是对于中国的政府和企业来说其从中受益匪浅。
According to the WTO agreement "Agreement on Textiles and Clothing, ATC", from 1st January 2005, all trade quotas on textiles and clothing have to be completely lifted. However, contrary to what most had hoped for, China did not, as a result, benefited greatly from the agreement since US and Europe continued to set up trade barriers. Now that the disputes have settled, what lessons have we learnt? This article, using analysis of the origins and effects of the textile dispute, summarises that the dispute is not a bad thing for China per se, especially when the Chinese government and corporations benefited greatly from the entire episode.
