我个人觉得“种子”之所以称之为“种子”，是因为：
最后夺冠的选手或队伍，引申意为“开花结果”，所以说只有“种子”经过“生长”才能修成正果，也就是一轮一轮的淘汰赛，这应该是一种比喻吧
