Today the mail is sent every day at our door. But many years ago, things were quite different. In the early days of the mail no one could be sure about where or when it would arrive.
In the south of Africa there was once a post office under a rock. In the old days, the trip from England to India was made around the Cape of Good Hope. It took six months.
