Fewer and fewer people still write letters for it's too slow and complicated until the recipient could get the letter. Therefore, our communication customs have actually been modified for the reason of advanced technology.

For example, Long-distance education has provided people a alternative way of learning apart from the traditional education confined only in the classroom. From all the new trends above, we can see a dramatic change in details how social customs have been replaced.

However, new technologies have aroused more and more controversial problems concerning ethics and moral standards. For instance, in China, the act that some people form a imaginary family on Internet has posed a threat to their real family members. The husband or wife may be seriously hurt by the unfaithful conduct that may result in distrust in fidelity although that is only a game. Apart from this, some people write boldly and shamelessly in their blogs about other people's privacy or sensitive topics like sex, which may irritate the real person and cause unpleasant consequences to the reader. Moreover, young kids are easily affected by the violence and sexual programs on TV which maylead them to commit crimes such as the increasing school violence currently. In this case, the society is responsible for taking measures to censor the media and build a healthy and clean cyber environment for people, rather than sit back and indulge this dark side brought by new technologies.

In sum, while we are enjoying the benefits from the overwhelming force technologies have placed upon our lives, meanwhile, we should not sacrifice our moral standards to yield to our desire or profits which can cause a negative consequence upon other people, or next generation. Thus, we should properly use the technology and solve the upcoming problems.
