sacred mountains-宗教性的山 我觉得翻译不太合理。“五岳”是我国五大名山的总称，也是以道教的名山。

我认为应该翻译为:
As the primary of the five most famous Taoist(道教的) mountains，Mount Tai is located in the central part of Shandong Province.

我觉得这样比较好：As the primary of the five high mountains, Taishan Mountain is located in the center of ShanDong Province.
