For Chinese, the value of one's action depends on whether he or she is benefiting others or the society. One's value can best expressed in sacrifices. Chinese cultures value the virtue of being generous and unselfish. In china, showing intiative to care for others, and understand others is a virtue. Therefore, for Chinese people, they always show initiative to help no matter it is a problem for others, big or small, family matters or private affairs. However, in doing this, western people regard Chinese people as being nosy about other people's business.
