1 表示永恒真理或转述假设语气的直接引句变间接引句时不改变时态。

Father said, "Light travels much faster than sound."

Tom said, "If I were you, I would leave."

2. 直接引句中所叙述的如果是在转述时仍然存在的事实或习惯，变为间接引句时，时态不变。

3. 直接引句为假设语气，变间接引句时，wish, would rather, would sooner, it is time等之后的子句的时态不变。
